Our staff

RAV employs a dedicated team of highly-skilled and qualified professionals with expertise in counselling, dispute resolution, skills development and training. All RAV counsellors are qualified psychologists or social workers who hold appropriate tertiary degrees. Our mediators are nationally-accredited and registered with appropriate post-graduate qualifications. Our practitioners receive high levels of supervision and ongoing professional development training.

Our frontline staff are supported by corporate services in a range of areas including human resources, practice development, quality/ compliance control, communications, information technology and financial administration.

Together, we focus on ensuring our clients' needs are at the forefront of everything we do.

  Simon Curran
  Senior Consultant Workplace Services

  Simon is a senior manager with broad experience in program and contract management and has overall responsibility for our workplace services.  He has a background in industrial law and management consultancy.  An accredited mediator, he has extensive  experience in workplace, inter-agency and multi-party mediation, workplace assessments and formal investigations.  As an accredited trainer Simon has a reputation for providing lively and relevant training in both national and international forums.

  Jo Huggins
  Manager Gippsland

  Jo has been with the organisation for over seven years. Jo has a Bachelor Degree in Human Services and 23 years' experience in the community sector. The various roles that Jo has undertaken include clinical supervision of staff, therapeutic counselling, youth work and management of a Children's Contact Centre. Jo is a Dispute Resolution Practitioner and provides workplace mediation and external supervision for local business and community groups within Gippsland.

  Shelley Watson
  Manager Shepparton

  Shelley has worked for RAV since 2008 and leads a team of highly experienced professionals.  The Shepparton team provide counselling, family dispute resolution, and family violence services.  Shelley has a Bachelor of Social Work and has over 13 years’ experience in therapeutic counselling and group work.

  Paul Wiseman
  Assistant Manager Greensborough

  Paul has worked at Relationships Australia Victoria for 18 years. Paul has a Masters in counselling and has received specialised training in workplace mediation. He provides clinical supervision to staff in his Centre and maintains his own client list.

• Fiona White
  Manager Ballarat

  Fiona came to RAV from Child and Family Services (CAFS) where she managed Placement and Support services and Family-Centred and Diversionary services. Fiona has post-graduate qualifications in both Social Work and Management and extensive management experience in the community sector and state government.

  Sue Yorston
  Senior Manager Western Melbourne

  Sue has a broad career as a consultant in community and human services, having worked across multiple sectors.  She leads the highly skilled teams at our Sunshine centres which provide EAP counselling and mediation.
